GA Governor Perdue has announced that beginning April 1st, watering 3 days a week will be allowed, however restrictions apply.
The Outdoor Water Use Registration Program.
This Program aims to help Georgia maintain healthy landscapes while using water wisely.

The Outdoor Water Use Registration Program is administered by the Georgia Urban Agriculture Council Division of the Georgia DNR. This program will educate you about waterSmart landscaping, test your knowledge, and allow you to print a certificate so that you may water your newly installed landscape under the rules of the EPD Order.

Local restrictions may apply, so check with your water provider for local regulations.

There are three ways to obtain your certificate. Each requires you to view a presentation and pass a quiz before you can obtain your certificate.

  • At your County Extension Office. If you prefer not to participate online, you may visit your local County Extension Office to complete the Program. There is no cost for this option. You can locate your County Extension Office by calling 1-800-ASK-UGA1, or by visiting http://www.caes.uga.edu/extension/, then selecting "Local Offices."
  • At a retail garden center. Check with your local retail garden center for in store options to complete the Program.
  • Online. You may complete the Program online (http://www.outdoorwateruse.com) by clicking the "Start Now" button at the bottom of this page. You will be directed to a secure PayPal window. A credit card is required to pay the convenience fee of $4.95 for this online option.
